| (4 Oct) Board of Directors Meeting |
Bi-monthly Board of Director meetings are held at 7:00 PM the first non-holiday Monday of each even-numbered month unless otherwise noted. The next Board of Directors meeting will be held at 23204 Stoney Hill Ln. All homeowners and tenants are welcome to attend and participate.

| (TBD Oct) Household Hazardous Waste |
St. Mary’s County's annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Day is held at the St. Andrews Landfill from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Residents are encouraged to clean out their basements, sheds, garages, under their kitchen sinks and in their medicine cabinets and take advantage of the opportunity to properly discard the toxics that have been lurking around their homes. Pharmaceuticals; disinfectants; paint (all kinds); stains and polish; solvents and thinners; caustic cleaners (for toilets, tile masonry, ovens, etc.); pool chemicals; lawn care chemicals; pet care chemicals; pesticides, fungicides and herbicides; batteries (all kinds); thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent light bulbs (all contain mercury); aerosol cans of anything; old gasoline, kerosene, and other fuels (even mixed with water) will be collected. Friday Dec 24th is the observed federal holiday for Christmas. Trash pick-up will be on Thursday.

| (26 Dec - 31 Jan) Christmas Tree Recycling |
Your old Christmas tree can be dropped off free of charge at the St. Andrews Landfill and all six convenience centers from the day after Christmas through the end of January. Trees are ground into mulch. Please remove all tinsel, ornaments and garland. Contact the Solid Waste Manager at (301) 863-8400 if you have any questions.

| (1 Jan) Semi-annual Assessment Due |
Assessment bills will be mailed out on December 1st. Don't forget to mail your semi-annual assessment payment to the Treasurer. Click HERE for the mailing address. Payments are due no later than January 1st. Remember to write your lot number on the check. Payments more than 30 days past due will incur a one time $25 late fee charge and a 10% per annum interest penalty compounded monthly as long as the account balance remains unpaid.

Meet at the playground at 6:00 PM to help clean up the playground and other common areas.

| (TBD Apr) Spring Clean-up: Phase 2 |
Meet at the playground at 8:00 AM to help load debris in the truck as it makes its rounds. Stage debris from your property (no leaves, lumber or creosoted timber...old firewood is OK) on Poplar Wood or Hickory Nut Drives before the truck comes around (the truck/chipper can not be easily backed up on our secondary lanes). Please keep debris piles off the grass and clear of driveways, mailboxes, and fire hydrants.

We will be sponsoring a community-wide yard sale from 8:00 to 12:00 AM. Advertisements will be placed in teh local media and signs posted at the neighborhood entrances to announce the event. Plan to set up a sales area at your home, or combine items with your next door neighbors.

| (TBD Aug) National Night Out |
Plan to participate in our National Night Out (NNO) celebration starting around 7:00 PM. We'll be meeting at the intersection of Hickory Nut and Poplar Wood Drives in the vicinity of the playground. Guests from the Sheriffs Department and the Fire Department will be in attendance. NNO is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch which has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
